Jason is currently in production for SAVING GRACE. A feature film presented by Knock Out Films. "Grace a young nurse with a heroin addiction, is kidnapped by a creepy survivalist who tells her that the world has ended and he has saved her."

Groucho: A Life In Revue opened at the famous Capitol Theatre in Windsor CAN. A great turn out and great feedback from all who attended. This is the first stop of many on our North American tour.

A LIFE IN REVUE. This stage production opens in Windsor and runs september 19-21st, but will go on tour to a number of major cities including New York. If you get a chance, don't miss this rare look into the world of Groucho and his four brothers.

To Lend his hand acting skills to all new 2009 FORD FLEX SUV. He admits that this is his best hand job ever!

Labbatt Blue Lt. has taken Jason on for three US radio commercials. It tells the true story of how Canadian beer is brewed up in the Rockies by hockey players in igloos. If you live in the New York or Boston area, listen for them!

Jason was cast yet again as a "tough guy" in the feature film ONE WEEK starring Joshua Jackson. He plays a red neck, pool playing bar fly that threatens to kick the shit out of Jackson's character. After many torn shirts and spilt beers, the scene actually turned out really good. You can see it in theatres some time next year.

All you IRON MAN comic book fans get ready! The blockbuster feature film starring Robert Downey Jr. will hit theatres next summer. Jason just finished working on the video game version shooting motion capture a la Andy Serkis (Rings, King Kong). Although he never once had to say "My precious." This Sega game will be the first to offer full range of motion with facial and hand movements. Watch for it in '08.

THE HOLLYWOOD INFORMANT is a 1920's film noir crime drama that features Jason Barbeck as "Smiley", the undercover agent that tries to find out who the inside man is. This film is in production being shot at the famous LACY STREET STUDIOS in Los Angeles.

Some more news in the wild of voice overs. Jason was cast to play a four foot tall hockey stick in a McDonalds radio commercial. To get that high pitched voice, he had to breathe in helium for every take. It was a good thing that in the end, they decided to alter his voice electronically so he didn't pass out in the session.

Happy New Year! The closing of 2006 was very exciting. Jason was asked to participate in the 6th annual Whistler Film Festival Celebrity Ski Challenge. "We didn't win, but it was fun hangin' with the smoking man, and Krycek from The X Files. Not to mention the legendary Norman Jewison!"

Get out your broadswords and helmets. Jason tested for a pilot and has been cast as the suave, debonair villian in the upcoming series THE SEEKER. Watch for the "Buffy-esque" new drama webisodes on the internet in early 2007.

Jason just finished shooting FOR LEASE. An intense dramatic short piece based on true events produced by the award winning dynamic duo Hayley Tyson (THE X FILES) and Daniel Kash (ALIENS). Watch for this film on Bravo in 2007.

Jason plays an FBI agent in the hit TV drama MISSING starring Vivica A. Fox. The episode called "Double Take" will be airing in the new year and you can catch it Sunday nights at 10pm. Watch for it on the Lifetime network.

Happy B-day J! His first present of the day was another booking. This time a Saskatewan tv commercial for WEYERHAEUSER. Weyerhaeuser Company is an international forest products company with annual sales of $19.9 billion. Their company was founded in 1900 and currently employs about 55,000 people in 18 countries. They're ranked in the Fortune 200 since 1956, and of course a proud sponcer of the Canadian Special Olympics.

"Richard Heat" directed by Detroit native, Richard Manigault is headed to Canne Film Festival. The film has also had screenings at NY Film Fest and LA FiIm Fest. Jason starred in the pic last summer and is excited about the festival success of the film. Hopefully, France will give the flick even more momentum.

BTW, Mr. Manigault was the second person in North America, George Lucas being the first, to shoot his movie on the Sony Cine Alta F900, 24p technology.

Jason has decided to take a month off and build a house. "I think every guy should build at least one house in his life" say Jason. "I've been busy on my last film, so I wanna spend some time with my dad, and building this house is a dream come true for both of us."
